Mission

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the full management of operating teams in charge of planning and executing maintenance tasks on Hot Rolling Mill (Downcoiler/Conditioning unit) in order to maximize equipment availability while minimizing costs.  

She/he has to achieve product quality and tools reliability while ensuring workers safety and motivation.

Main accountabilities

General

• Improve equipment availability, meet targets in failure rate to provide high satisfaction to production services.

Human Resources

• Contribute to the development plan (competencies, training) of the personnel.

Safety

• Ensure that safety rules are respected by everyone (own personnel, subcontractors). 
• Act as a leader for all safety-related topics :
  – Compliance with internal and external rules;
  – Exemplary behavior ;
  – Perform all safety-related tasks (HIRA, implementation of corrective measures, …) with diligence and precision.

Mechanics 

• Plan and prioritize mechanical maintenance works and ensure follow-up by means of dashboards and detailed action plans.
• Improve equipments availability and optimize interventions (hands-on-tools) in order to reduce costs and downtimes, contribute to reliability and improve safety of equipments in collaboration with the Improvement & Reliability Departments

Quality

• Implement the action plan to guarantee and improve product quality.
• Promote the Continuous Improvement approach. 

Profile

• Master in engineering mechanics or electromechanics with good analytical skills;
• Minimum 2-3 years experience to be able to  manage a team of 10 experimented technicus
• You master various industrial topics of the Mechanical engineering;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to lead change, motivate and build a team;
• Innovator able to generate new solutions;
• Proven good analytical and reporting skills with extensive knowledge in Google tools and CMMS (SAP PM); 
• French native speaker with good command of English.
